Barrel & Runout
There are usually four types of materials for the cylinder body of a roller, namely: steel pipe, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and PVC. Depending on the material characteristics, they have different applications:
Steel pipe:
With the continuous development of pipe making process and welding technology, high-frequency straight seam welded steel pipes (commonly known as welded pipes) have replaced seamless pipes as the mainstream configuration in logistics transportation rollers. Compared to seamless pipes, welded pipes have great advantages in balance, appearance, and cost, and can meet the requirements of roller bearing, bending, and other aspects in mechanical performance.
Jumping is one of the key indicators affecting the performance of the roller, and its harm is that it can make the conveying unstable and affect the accuracy of the conveying. There are many factors that affect jumping, mainly the ovality and straightness of the steel pipe. The steel pipe we use complies with various technical standards of GB/T13793.
Stainless steel:
1. Beautiful surface;
2. Good corrosion resistance. Longer and more durable than ordinary steel pipes;
3. High temperature oxidation resistance and high strength;
4. No surface treatment required, simple maintenance;
5. High smoothness and easy to clean.
Aluminum alloy:
Aluminum alloy can also be used as the outer tube material for rollers. Compared with steel pipes and stainless steel pipes, aluminum alloy pipes do not have their strength and hardness, and their winding strength is only about 1/3 of that of ordinary steel pipes. However, their weight is only 36% of that of steel pipes, and they have a certain degree of anti-corrosion ability, especially in certain specific industries (such as the rubber industry), which have a relatively wide range of applications.
PVC:
The load-bearing capacity of PVC pipes (polyvinyl chloride) is much lower than that of steel pipes of the same diameter, but it has the following characteristics:
1. Low operating noise;
2. Good shockproof performance;
3. Lightweight;
4. Corrosion prevention;
5. Easy to clean.
