Galvanizing:
Galvanizing is a common surface treatment method for rollers, and the material surface is electroplated through electrolysis, which can provide a certain degree of rust and corrosion protection.
1. Trivalent chrome blue white galvanized, meeting environmental requirements.
2. The zinc layer thickness suitable for the roller is 8-12 μ M. If the galvanized layer is too thin, the rust resistance will be greatly reduced; If it is too thick, the zinc layer is easy to peel off and will bring meaningless cost increases;
3. The anti-corrosion ability of zinc plating is limited, and its anti-corrosion ability will quickly decay in humid, acidic, and alkaline environments. When your rollers need to be transported by sea, special packaging suitable for sea transportation is still required;
4. Galvanizing does not have strong wear resistance. It will gradually wear out after use of the roller, and if necessary, other surface treatment methods such as hard chromium plating can be chosen;
5. Do not let food come into contact with galvanized surfaces.
 
PVC soft adhesive:
In addition to the traditional surface coating, you can also choose the solution of 2mm PVC soft adhesive for the roller jacket, which has the following significant features:
1. It can effectively protect the bottom surface of goods (such as glass, stainless steel wire drawing plates, etc.);
2. Has good noise reduction and shock absorption effect;
Compared with steel pipes, it increases the friction force on the surface of the roller and improves the transportation performance of goods;
4. It has a faster delivery cycle and higher cost-effectiveness than traditional adhesive packaging.
 
It should be noted that:
1. PVC soft adhesive is not pasted together with the cylinder, but expands and contracts on the roller through compressed air;
2. The rubber sleeve will be cut to the required size. If partial rubber sleeve is required, please specify the length of the PVC soft adhesive (minimum 50mm) and its position on the roller when selecting.
3. When the roller has axial force during operation (such as axial movement, push and pull), please extend the length of PVC soft adhesive as much as possible during design.
 
Glue wrapping:
In order to make the transportation faster, such as the acceleration of specific workstations, small angle climbing transportation, etc., it is generally necessary for the surface of the roller to generate significant friction with the goods. Often, the surface can generate significant friction with the goods, and often, the method of wrapping rubber on the surface (commonly known as wrapping rubber) is used. Belt conveyor driven roller wrapping is a typical treatment to increase friction. Rubber wrapping can also protect the surface of the conveyed material and reduce conveying noise. According to different characteristics, it is usually divided into two categories: natural rubber and nitrile rubber:
Natural rubber: Made from high-quality raw materials and adhesives, it has good elasticity, strong temperature and alkali resistance, but is not resistant to strong acids, poor oil and solvent resistance, and is suitable for general transportation.
NBR: Known for its excellent oil resistance, NBR also has good wear resistance and heat resistance, but its electrical insulation is relatively poor.
 
Hard chrome plating:
Hard chromium, also known as wear-resistant chromium, belongs to functional chromium plating. It can increase surface hardness, improve wear resistance, temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance:
1. Good wear resistance, able to reach a hardness value of 1200HV according to different processes, and the sliding friction coefficient is only 50% of that of steel and cast iron, and has anti adhesion, so it is widely used in mold manufacturing;
2. The chromium plating layer is brittle and should not withstand significant deformation, otherwise it may cause the coating to break or fall off.
